"So much pain ...

January 7, 2003

Dear Trish,

First, I want to thank you for your effort to create a massage program that would address my special needs. Your research and study made the massages so very effective

When I came to you I was in so much pain I could barely function without strong pain medicine. These were the problems causing me pain:

Neuropathy in my feet. - hammer toes and toes curled under. Walking was torture.

Arthritis - All my joints were affected by swelling, pain and stiffness.

Spinal Stenosis - Three vertebrae were seriously affected, one was still healing from a fracture and my lower back was so painful that even my hips hurt.

Nutcracker Esophagus - I had difficulty swallowing my food. Diagnosis and treatment had failed.

My intent when I came to you was to get a couple of massages, hoping it would make me feel better.

After counseling with you I agreed that my "head forward" posture could be the cause of most of these problems. We embarked on an intense program to help my posture problem, with you working on my muscles and I doing stretches and exercises in between designed by you to enhance the massages. After doing two massages weekly for about eight weeks it became obvious it was helping. We went to one massage weekly for a while and then to one every other week.

This is where we are now:

Neuropathy - toes lay flat and straight and the pain has decreased so that I am now able to walk normally.

Arthritis - I am no longer stiff. Though weather changes affect my joints, the once debilitating pain is only minor.

Spinal Stenosis - I still have occasional bouts of pain. My twice a month massages relieves the pain.

Nutcracker Esophagus - It is truly amazing that improved posture has all but eliminated the symptoms of this problem.

This program has truly changed my life. Thanks. Trish Rumble.

Sincerely,

Betty Davis, age 77
